長万部高校の日常

　去る４月８日の金曜日、本校では第74回入学式が挙行されました。感染症対策のため、今年度も入場者数を制限した形での実施となりました。今年度の入学生は13名。真新しい制服に身を包み、やや緊張した面持ちでしたが、短時間の礼法指導にもかかわらず、入退場を含め、見事な振る舞いを見せてくれました。

3月11日（金）１学年「科学と人間生活」においてポスターセッションを行いました。１年間の学習を踏まえて、自らの興味を掘り下げる形でテーマ設定を行い、１枚のポスターに整理して発表を行いました。よく行われる「１対大勢」の発表ではなく、発表者と聴衆の距離が近くなることで、発表者は聴衆の様子を観察しながら発表を行うことができ、聴衆は気軽に質問ができたようです。生徒は発表することに緊張を覚えながらも、生き生きと活動できており、とても立派でした！

令和４年３月１日（火）第71回卒業証書授与式が挙行されました。「まん延防止措置」が３月６日まで延長されたこともあり、昨年同様、式に参列していただいた保護者の皆様や来賓の方々を制限せざるを得なかったことが残念でなりません。そんな中、卒業生31名は校長から卒業証書を受け取り、卒業生を代表して、中込葵さんがコロナウイルスで通常の学校生活を送れなかったが、創意工夫をして乗り越え、今日を迎えることができたという感動的な答辞を披露しました。卒業生の皆さん、卒業おめでとう。

[71st GRADUATION CEREMONY]

On March 1st, 2022 (Tuesday), we had the 71st Graduation Ceremony.

　Regrettably, we had to restrict the number of people from outside such as parents and other guests because of the extended Quasi-State of Emergency. Under such condition, the third years received their graduation certificates from the principal and a representative of the students delivered an impressive speech; she said it had been difficult for her to lead what used to be regarded as a normal school life due to COVID-19, but she felt grateful that she could attend the ceremony on the day.

12月24日（金）に球技大会が行われました。

　種目は男女バスケットボール、男女バレーボール、ドッジボールの３種目でした。

　結果は男子バスケ・バレーともに２年生が優勝、ドッヂボールでも２年生が優勝。女子種目はバスケ・バレーともに３年生が優勝。最後にエキシビションマッチとして行われたバレーボール優勝男女混合チームVS教員チームでは僅差で生徒チームの勝利で幕を閉じました。

　第７１期生徒会総務は初めての大きな仕事でしたが、文体委員会と協力してスムーズに進行し無事に球技大会を終えることができました。生徒の皆さんお疲れ様でした。

　最後には今年度初となる全校生徒での写真撮影を行い、学年を越えた交流を深めることができ、良い体験になったと思います。

[Ball Game Tournament]
On 24th of December, we had our Ball Game Tournament, which annually takes place every year. 
　Each year of the students competed against the other two years. They played basketball, volleyball, and dodge ball.
　As for the Boys' Division (basketball and volleyball), the second year won the first place in the both sports; as for the Girls' (the same sports as the boys), the third year won the first place. Dodge ball games were played by each year with its boys and girls altogether in the same one team, and the second year won the first place. 
　After all the games, Teacher Team (made up of teachers who "willingly" volunteered to play) played against Student Team (with the two winning teams combined). The students beat the teachers by a VERY narrow margin (I, one of the teachers who played in the game, don't remember the exact score, yet I AM SURE that it was quite a close game).    
　This tournament was the first important event for the 71th student council of the school to manage, and they did a thorough job working hand in hand with other students. Thanks to their great effort, the tournament ended successfully with everyone (surely including the teachers) happy and fulfilled.     

令和4年1月７日（金）しめ縄集めに参加しました。長万部町では毎年年明けの７日の日に子ども達が地域の家庭を一軒一軒回って、しめ縄を集める風習があります。しかし昨今の少子高齢化の影響で子ども会が活動できない地域もあり、長万部町の伝統的な風習を絶やさないためにも、「まちおこしプロジェクト」代表の高野暢子さんの呼びかけで、地域の方々の協力をいただきながら、本校の生徒４名が旭浜の地域のお手伝いを行いました。それぞれのお家の玄関先で地域のみなさんは本当に素敵でな笑顔で子ども達を迎えてくれました。どんと焼きに連れていってもらった後は温かい食べ物と飲み物で談笑しながら過ごしました。この度お世話になった皆さん、本当にありがとうございました。

[Traditional Event -Collection of Shimenawa-]
On 7th of January (Fri), four students participated in an event. In the event, the participants visit a house to another to collect what is called shimenawa. Shimenawa are lengths of laid rice straw or hemp rope used forritual purification in the Shinto religion (shimemeaning “laid” and nawa meaningrope). 
　In Oshamambe Town, children have been doing this on every January 7. However, with severely fewer children across the town, the event has not been able to be held in some particular areas these days. Yoko Takano, the representative of a project which was established for the purpose to make the town backlively, called out to local people around for their help in order avoid letting such traditional customs die out. Hearing that, the four students stepped up and helped in Asahihama Area. Visiting each house, they were warmly welcomed. Afterwards, Ms. Takano gave the students (as well as all the other participants there) a warm drink and food, and we all had fun talking together.
