長万部高校の日常

　本日５～６校時、函館のえんどう桔梗マタニティクリニックの医師である新垣加奈先生を講師にお招きし、心とからだの健康学習（性教育講演会）を実施しました。テーマは「今日から役立つ性教育」です。新垣先生はスライドを用い１時間以上、生理のこと、子宮頸がんワクチンのこと、望まない妊娠のこと、同意のこと、避妊のことLGBTのことなどを一部アニメーションを用いて講演していただきました。生徒は皆真剣に話を聞いていました。
We spent the 5th and 6th period today inviting Kana Shingaki from Endo Kikyo Maternity Clinic, Hakodate, and learning about gender and sex. The lecturer talked about how women have a period, (unwanted) pregnancy, birth control, LGBT and many other important topics and facts for one to be aware of as they live along. The students took the speech very seriously and listened very earnestly.

　本校では３年生が遠足（ルスツ）を行っています。当初予定していた日が大雨のため延期し本日実施となりました。前日が大雨のためこの日の天気も心配でしたが、無事曇り空で精一杯楽しんできました。
Every year the seniors make a trip to Rusutsu Amusement Park. A prior day, on which we originally tried to go there, had to be postponed due to heavy rainfall. This trip took place on July 1 instead. It was heavily rainy the day before, so we were worried about the weather. Fortunately, it cleared up before the morning, and we could have a good time.

　本日放課後に長万部中学校において、中学３年生及び保護者を対象に説明会を行いました。校長挨拶ののち、教務部長より高校での学習や卒業後の進路について、生徒指導部長より学校生活や行事、部活動等についてそれぞれ説明を行いました。参加した生徒からは、現在の各部活動の人数や活動状況等の質問があり高校側から回答していました。
On July 1, we held an explanatory meeting for the third year students and their parents at Oshamambe Junior High School. After an address by principle, we explained learning our school events, clubs, and other important things about our school. Some participants asked us questions: how many students belong to each club and its current activity. And answers were given by the high school.

　本日、宮城県教育庁高校教育課主幹をはじめ、県立高校教諭合計８名の先生方が本校を訪れ遠隔授業を見学しました。まず校長が本校の遠隔授業について説明し、その後、授業を見学、さらに機器の取扱等の解説を行いました。北海道の遠隔授業の実践が宮城県の高校でも活かされるとありがたいです。
June 23, people who are in charge of high school education in Miyagi visited us and looked on our remote lessons.
At first, our principal explained how our remote classes work, and after that, they supervised some remote classes of ours. Then, the principal talked about how to operate devises with which such remote classes take place.
We hope that the practice of remote lessons in Hokkaido, as we do, helps those in need in other prefectures.

　今日の放課後、総合文化部の調理班が活動。クッキーをつくりました。感染症対策を徹底し、生地をこね、めん棒で薄くのばし、型に入れて生地を抜き、オーブンで焼き上げました。美味しくできあがりました。
On June 21, a club whose members do various activities made cookies after school. Kneading dough, lengthening it thinly with swabs, putting it into models to shape, and finally baking it with microwave ovens, they made cookies under a thorough measure to avoid getting infected with COVID-19. The cookies tasted very good.

本日６校時に体育館で全校生徒を対象に長高祭オリエンテーションを行いました。最初に生徒会総務より長高祭の日程や留意事項等概要を説明しました。そののち、各部門（セッション）にわかれてセッション会議を行いました。長高祭は７月９日（土）・10日（日）に行います。
[Orientation for School Event]
On June 21th, we had orientation for our school festival. Representatives of the students first gave a brief explanation on the festival; such as on the dates on which the festival was to be held and some other things.
　Then, divided into some departments, students discussed what they were in charge of.
We are going to have the festival on July 9th and 10th. Can't wait.

　本日の３年生の現代社会の時間に、人権擁護委員の山中義廣様をお招きし、人権教室を行いました。この授業では特にＤＶの問題について啓蒙をはかり、人権意識を育てることをねらいとしています。生徒たちは真剣な表情で講師の話を聞いていました。
In the class of contemporary society on June 15, the third year students took a lesson about human rights from Yamanaka Yoshihiro, who is a commissioner on protection of human rights.
　Through this class, he was aimed at growing the students' cognition of human rights and he taught them, in particular, about DV. The students listened very seriously with great attention.

　本日放課後、環境委員会のメンバー及びお手伝いのメンバーで生徒玄関前と通路にプランターを設置しました。本校卒業生の保護者である三原様にご協力いただきました。メンバーは苗の植え替えやプランターの設置、水やりと手際よく進めていました。
After school today, the members of the Environment Committee and some other volunteer students set up planters near the entrance and alongside the road stretching in front of the school. They did the whole process efficiently - transplanting, installing the planters, and watering them.

今日は午前中コミュニケーションスキルトレーニングを行いました。

とても充実した研修でした。
次に５色綱引きをしました。作戦を立てどのようにしたら１本でも多く綱を引けるか自分たちで考えました。

最後に退所式です。２日間本当にお世話になりました。

６月９日（木）宿泊研修１日目　高校前からバスに乗っていざ出発！

 ネイパル森で入所式を行いました。

サイクリングで大沼公園へ。

大沼公園ではボートオリエンテーリング。目的地に向かってしっかり漕ぎました。

ボートの次は待ちに待った野外炊飯！美味しくできますように！！

６月８日（水）６校時に宿泊研修の結団式を行いました。団長挨拶に続き、代表生徒の宣誓があり、明日から始まる宿泊研修に向けて決意を固めていました。
　本校では１年生の宿泊研修をネイパル森で行い、サイクリングやボートオリエンテーリング、野外炊飯など豊かな自然の元で望ましい人間関係や協調性等の育成を目的に実施しています。
On 6th period of the 8th of June, the freshmen had a ceremony before the study trip, which was to begin on the next day. The vice principal, the leader on the trip, and a representative student took an oath.
　Every year, first year students go to Neipal Forest, at the foot of Mt. Komagadake between Mori, Shikabe and Nanae. There, in order to build a good relationship and to　learn to cooperate with others, they experience a variety of activities - (usually including) cycling, boating and cookout.

　５月25日（水）、KDDI株式会社北海道総支社管理部専任課長の浅見　洋（あさみ　ひろし）氏に来校いただき、ＳＮＳに関する情報モラル講演会を実施しました。
　ＳＮＳ上の書き込みから思いもしなかったトラブルが起きることや、画像や動画をネット上に投稿することから大きな問題が引き起こされること、ネット上で知り合った人との間にどのようなトラブルが起き得るのかなど、実際にあった事例をもとに大変貴重なお話をしていただきました。
　ＳＮＳは生徒にとって身近なツールとなっており様々な場面で危険が潜んでいます。生徒達は今回の講話を自分事と受け止め真剣に聞いていました。

　５月10日（火）に火災の避難訓練を実施しました。今回は、通常の授業中を想定した避難訓練でした。
　最後に日常の生活から火災等の災害に巻き込まれるなどの最悪の状況を想定して、自分の身を守るためには、どの様な行動をとるべきかを考えておくことが重要であるとのお話がありました。
　On the 10th of May, we carried out a fire drill on the assumption that the accident happens during class.
　At the end of the drill, we made sure together what is essential to do in order to protect ourselves in the event of such possible dangerous situation as sudden fire or earthquake.

　去る４月８日の金曜日、本校では第74回入学式が挙行されました。感染症対策のため、今年度も入場者数を制限した形での実施となりました。今年度の入学生は13名。真新しい制服に身を包み、やや緊張した面持ちでしたが、短時間の礼法指導にもかかわらず、入退場を含め、見事な振る舞いを見せてくれました。

3月11日（金）１学年「科学と人間生活」においてポスターセッションを行いました。１年間の学習を踏まえて、自らの興味を掘り下げる形でテーマ設定を行い、１枚のポスターに整理して発表を行いました。よく行われる「１対大勢」の発表ではなく、発表者と聴衆の距離が近くなることで、発表者は聴衆の様子を観察しながら発表を行うことができ、聴衆は気軽に質問ができたようです。生徒は発表することに緊張を覚えながらも、生き生きと活動できており、とても立派でした！

令和４年３月１日（火）第71回卒業証書授与式が挙行されました。「まん延防止措置」が３月６日まで延長されたこともあり、昨年同様、式に参列していただいた保護者の皆様や来賓の方々を制限せざるを得なかったことが残念でなりません。そんな中、卒業生31名は校長から卒業証書を受け取り、卒業生を代表して、中込葵さんがコロナウイルスで通常の学校生活を送れなかったが、創意工夫をして乗り越え、今日を迎えることができたという感動的な答辞を披露しました。卒業生の皆さん、卒業おめでとう。

[71st GRADUATION CEREMONY]

On March 1st, 2022 (Tuesday), we had the 71st Graduation Ceremony.

　Regrettably, we had to restrict the number of people from outside such as parents and other guests because of the extended Quasi-State of Emergency. Under such condition, the third years received their graduation certificates from the principal and a representative of the students delivered an impressive speech; she said it had been difficult for her to lead what used to be regarded as a normal school life due to COVID-19, but she felt grateful that she could attend the ceremony on the day.

12月24日（金）に球技大会が行われました。

　種目は男女バスケットボール、男女バレーボール、ドッジボールの３種目でした。

　結果は男子バスケ・バレーともに２年生が優勝、ドッヂボールでも２年生が優勝。女子種目はバスケ・バレーともに３年生が優勝。最後にエキシビションマッチとして行われたバレーボール優勝男女混合チームVS教員チームでは僅差で生徒チームの勝利で幕を閉じました。

　第７１期生徒会総務は初めての大きな仕事でしたが、文体委員会と協力してスムーズに進行し無事に球技大会を終えることができました。生徒の皆さんお疲れ様でした。

　最後には今年度初となる全校生徒での写真撮影を行い、学年を越えた交流を深めることができ、良い体験になったと思います。

[Ball Game Tournament]
On 24th of December, we had our Ball Game Tournament, which annually takes place every year. 
　Each year of the students competed against the other two years. They played basketball, volleyball, and dodge ball.
　As for the Boys' Division (basketball and volleyball), the second year won the first place in the both sports; as for the Girls' (the same sports as the boys), the third year won the first place. Dodge ball games were played by each year with its boys and girls altogether in the same one team, and the second year won the first place. 
　After all the games, Teacher Team (made up of teachers who "willingly" volunteered to play) played against Student Team (with the two winning teams combined). The students beat the teachers by a VERY narrow margin (I, one of the teachers who played in the game, don't remember the exact score, yet I AM SURE that it was quite a close game).    
　This tournament was the first important event for the 71th student council of the school to manage, and they did a thorough job working hand in hand with other students. Thanks to their great effort, the tournament ended successfully with everyone (surely including the teachers) happy and fulfilled.     

令和4年1月７日（金）しめ縄集めに参加しました。長万部町では毎年年明けの７日の日に子ども達が地域の家庭を一軒一軒回って、しめ縄を集める風習があります。しかし昨今の少子高齢化の影響で子ども会が活動できない地域もあり、長万部町の伝統的な風習を絶やさないためにも、「まちおこしプロジェクト」代表の高野暢子さんの呼びかけで、地域の方々の協力をいただきながら、本校の生徒４名が旭浜の地域のお手伝いを行いました。それぞれのお家の玄関先で地域のみなさんは本当に素敵でな笑顔で子ども達を迎えてくれました。どんと焼きに連れていってもらった後は温かい食べ物と飲み物で談笑しながら過ごしました。この度お世話になった皆さん、本当にありがとうございました。

[Traditional Event -Collection of Shimenawa-]
On 7th of January (Fri), four students participated in an event. In the event, the participants visit a house to another to collect what is called shimenawa. Shimenawa are lengths of laid rice straw or hemp rope used forritual purification in the Shinto religion (shimemeaning “laid” and nawa meaningrope). 
　In Oshamambe Town, children have been doing this on every January 7. However, with severely fewer children across the town, the event has not been able to be held in some particular areas these days. Yoko Takano, the representative of a project which was established for the purpose to make the town backlively, called out to local people around for their help in order avoid letting such traditional customs die out. Hearing that, the four students stepped up and helped in Asahihama Area. Visiting each house, they were warmly welcomed. Afterwards, Ms. Takano gave the students (as well as all the other participants there) a warm drink and food, and we all had fun talking together.

12月10日（金）見学旅行最終日は、午前中に金閣寺と清水寺を見学しました。昨日に続き天候に恵まれ、気温は16度で北海道人としてはとても過ごしやすい中での研修となりました。清水寺で弁当、湯豆腐の昼食を食べ、八つ橋などの買い物をしました。午後からは帰路につき、伊丹空港から千歳空港、町のバスで長万部に着き、家路につきました。高校生活最大の行事である3泊4日の見学旅行を無事終えることができました。お世話になった方々ありがとうございました。

[School Trip Day 4]

OnDecember 10th, in Kyoto, the students and teachers visited Kinkaku-ji (Temple of the GoldenPavilion) and Kiyomizu-dera Temple in the morning. Luckily, as the previousdays, up in the sky was no cloud. The temperature was about 16 degrees Celsius,which felt quite comfortable for people like the students, all of whom had grownup in Hokkaido, where the average temperature is relatively low in the country. About Kiyomizu-dera Temple, they had boiled tofu, a food which the place is well-known for, for lunch and also enjoyedshopping; they, for example, bought yatsuhashi,a traditional sweet of Kyoto which is very popular for a souvenir. Later, in theafternoon, they got on their journey back to Oshamambe, their hometown.

　Finally and thankfully, the four-day schooltrip finished. It would be their biggest school event in their high schoollife, and we are all happy it ended with no trouble all along the way.
