長万部高校の日常

８日（金）　明日からの長高祭に向けて最後の準備です。
We are trying to make our best preparation for the school festival, which begins as of tomorrow.

　５日（火）「子どもの発達と保育」の時間に子どものおもちゃを作りました。幼稚園で園児と遊べる日が待ち遠しいです。
　Today in the class "Growth and Nurture of Children," students made toys for kids. They cannot wait to play with children in kindergartens in the town (only if COVID-19 allowed us...)!

　７月６日（水）に黒松内町の白井川中学校において、全校生徒及び保護者を対象に長万部高校の説明会を行いました。高校での学習や卒業後の進路、学校生活、行事、部活動等について説明を行いました。参加した生徒の皆さんからは、見学旅行の行程や部活動の活動状況等についての質問があり、高校側から回答しました。
On 6th of July (Wed), detailed information as to our school was given to all the students as well as their guardians at Shiroikawa Junior High School in Kuromatsunai Town, Suttsu District. The information covered about classes, school events, club activities, and what students can do after graduation. At the end of the session, we spent some time on Q and A.

　３週間前に環境委員が設置したプランターの花々ですが、環境委員の水やりのおかげで見る見るうちに成長しました。
　The Environment Committee of students planted these flowers alongside our school three weeks ago. As you can see, their constant care helps them grow right up straight.

　本日５～６校時、函館のえんどう桔梗マタニティクリニックの医師である新垣加奈先生を講師にお招きし、心とからだの健康学習（性教育講演会）を実施しました。テーマは「今日から役立つ性教育」です。新垣先生はスライドを用い１時間以上、生理のこと、子宮頸がんワクチンのこと、望まない妊娠のこと、同意のこと、避妊のことLGBTのことなどを一部アニメーションを用いて講演していただきました。生徒は皆真剣に話を聞いていました。
We spent the 5th and 6th period today inviting Kana Shingaki from Endo Kikyo Maternity Clinic, Hakodate, and learning about gender and sex. The lecturer talked about how women have a period, (unwanted) pregnancy, birth control, LGBT and many other important topics and facts for one to be aware of as they live along. The students took the speech very seriously and listened very earnestly.
